Our midwives at the Des Moines Midwife Collective are able to offer a wide range of contraceptive options to our clients.
The Midwifery Model of Care focuses on education and preventative care and we are passionate about providing comprehensive contraception assessment and planning based on your individual needs and situation.
Contraception visit Pricing
We are currently in-network with most major insurance plans including medicaid and bill insurance for all visits and care. Beginning July 1st, 2025 we will no longer be in network with insurance and all visits will be self-pay at the pricing listed below.
Initial 60 minute Visit - In this first visits, we’ll explore what’s going on and create a customized plan for you - $295
Follow-Up Visits 30 minute visits - With focus on adjusting medications as needed, addressing new concerns and customizing your care to help you feel your best. Follow-up visits can be provided in-person or telehealth - $100
Visit payment options include health shares, FSA/HSA’s, and cash-pay.
If you wish to utilize your insurance, we will provide a super bill of our services for you to submit.

We're committed to providing individualized care to our patients in Central IA and offer a variety of pharmaceutical contraceptive options.
Hormonal Contraceptives contain both estrogen and progestin, or progestin only.
Are you wanting your teenager to understand their body more? Do they have questions about sex? Questions about sexuality?
Our team of Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) are here to help! We offer body-positive about health and reproduction to answer your teen’s questions and help them make informed decisions about contraception and birth control.
